The Moon Collective
Creativity is better with community
One year of creative reclamation, a month-by-month membership collective for women.
Each new month begins on the full moon.
A warm, inspiring space where art meets self-discovery — through photography, storytelling, and creative play. Designed especially for women, for all who crave expression, learning, and reconnection with themselves through any art.
This membership is built on monthly themes, with a focus on photography but expanding into creative prompts, self-reflection, artistic play, and seasonal living. However, it’s open to all forms of art and crafts.
It blends:
Guided creative exploration (in the style of the P52 and 36 Frames of Summer prompts) for photographers and other creatives of any level.
Self-discovery and expression (self-portrait/self-love guide through artful projects and discussions).
And community-driven creative learning ( "learn with me as I learn too" model).

WHO IT'S FOR
Women in seasons of change (midlife, creative burnout, rediscovery)
Curious creatives looking for a kind, non-intimidating space
Anyone who wants to use creativity to reconnect with themselves
Why It Matters
Creative friendship > lone striving – we believe growth happens in gentle community.
Doing > Passive learning – form emerges from active engagement.
Self-expression > Technical perfection – your voice, your story, your frame.
Why Now
For anyone midlife, in flux, dreaming of visual reclamation.
Near-empty nests? Shifting priorities? Photos or projects we haven’t yet dared to make?
Here’s the missing gentleness of creative practice, tethered by structure, held by friendship, fueled by play.
The Collective’s Philosophy
This is about process over perfection. Presence over productivity. And art-making as a form of coming home to yourself.
We make space for vulnerability, for experiments, for projects you don’t post but keep.
We are not hustling for likes — we’re finding our light.
You Don’t Have to Know What You’re Doing
You just have to show up. Curious. Open. Willing to try.
(And maybe wear red lipstick when it feels a little scary.)
We’re all learning here — not just how to make art & photos, but how to see again. How to feel again. How to begin, again.

What to expect- An inside view of the first month
January 3rd — Wolf Moon (Supermoon):
Theme: Listening to the Call
“The year begins not with noise, but with a quiet growl beneath the ribs.”
Overview
The Wolf Moon calls you back to instinct — the part of you that knows before you plan, that sees before you name.
This month, you’ll sharpen your creative senses, build your visual vocabulary, and let your intuition lead the camera.
It’s about noticing what you crave — creatively and emotionally — and trusting that craving as a compass.
Theme: Reclaiming Instinct
Starting the year tuned inward — to the quiet urges, ideas, and curiosities that call from beneath routine.
Creative Focus
Reconnecting with intuition and creative voice
Reflecting and seeing the beginnings and in-betweens
Making an intuitive vision board (not of goals, but of feelings)
Starting your first personal project of the year
Building technical confidence through mindful creative practices
The following months
April 1st — Pink Moon
Theme: Emergence, tenderness, soft visibility, emotional colour
“Not everything that blooms asks to be seen loudly.”
Overview
April carries the quiet tenderness of first bloom. After the messy stirring of March, the Pink Moon invites us to notice what is beginning to reveal itself — softly, subtly, and without force. This month is about paying attention to emotional tone, atmosphere, and the quiet signals of becoming.
In your creative practice, this is a time to work with nuance and sensitivity. Through photography and mixed media, we’ll explore softness, emotional colour, gentle visibility, and the poetry of small shifts. Rather than chasing bold statements, the focus is on trusting what is just beginning to emerge — allowing your work to unfold slowly, honestly, and with care.
May 1st — Flower Moon
Theme: Growth, flourishing, vibrancy, expansive energy
“When energy expands, creativity follows.”
Overview
May arrives with a sense of vibrancy and movement. Under the Flower Moon, ideas and creative impulses begin to stretch outward, gathering momentum and vitality. This month invites you to step into a more expressive and expansive creative space — where experimentation, curiosity, and play take the lead.
In your practice, we’ll explore abundance through colour, texture, layering, and movement. Whether working with photography, mixed media, or other forms of expression, the focus is on letting your work grow freely and energetically. This is a moment to follow what excites you, take creative risks, and see what flourishes when you give your ideas room to bloom.
May 31st — Strawberry Moon
Theme: Fullness, warmth, sweetness, luminous presence
“Some moments ask only to be savoured.”
Overview
June brings the warmth and glow of early summer. Under the Strawberry Moon, the creative energy that began quietly in spring reaches a moment of fullness — not rushed or overwhelming, but rich with light, presence, and possibility.
This month invites you to slow down and savour what has been growing in your practice. Through photography and creative exploration, we’ll focus on light, atmosphere, memory, and the beauty of fleeting moments. It’s about noticing what feels alive, joyful, and luminous — and allowing your work to reflect the warmth, sweetness, and quiet magic of the season.
